EMERSON Fall/Winter 2012 Collection

Drawing inspiration from the aftermath of the WWII bombings in Dresden, Germany and from the new and thriving female workforce of the 1940s, designer Jackie Fraser-Swan creates a one-of-a-kind collection for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Both masculine and feminine elements are brought together to make an amazing collection that would go great with almost anything. The colors are predominately black and white with occasional pops of color here and there to add some spice. Whitney Eve Takes the City to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Studio

Whitney Port held her Fall/Winter 2012 fashion show at “the tents” this season, the Lincoln Center. It was an early morning show, but the crowd arrived promptly to see what will be in store this fall. Her collection “Whitney Eve” is composed of an array of silhouettes from convertible party dressed to charming menswear-inspired shapes that are complimented with new, fresh designs and color palettes. NOLCHA New York Fashion Week Features Megla M. | February 20, 2012

NOLCHA New York Fashion Week Features Megla M.

London-based designer, Megla M., put on their Fall/Winter 2012 NOLCHA runway show at New York Fashion Week. The show was interesting and caught everyone’s attention.  Many of the designs had a “high-drama” feel to them: big bows, utilitarian sleeves, and big, bold coats. Lacy garments were presented as well to soften the overall look of the designs along with geometrically draped garments. Overall, the show was quick and had very interesting structured garments. Below are a few photos of Megla M.’s designs:

Naeem Khan Presents Autumn/Winter 2012 Line to Star-Studded Audience | February 20, 2012

Naeem Khan Presents Autumn/Winter 2012 Line to Star-Studded Audience

Naeem Khan brought on a beautiful Autumn/Winter line to the Lincoln Center audience at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Inspired by the decadence and dust of India, Khan wanted to reflect the theme off the body as a canvas. The concept of body art is deeply rooted in the Indian culture—which is why Naeem Khan wanted to make this a key role in the show. Utilizing the designs from Indian culture, Khan started out his collection by dabbing white-out on black boards and printed in Switzerland.  The paisleys and swirl motifs were used as an inspiration for all the embroidery detail. The … Read More »
