“Oh Dear” and the Big Boy Bed | August 19, 2010

“Oh Dear” and the Big Boy Bed

Dear Hayden,

Mommy remembered how to type!  Will wonders never cease?  Remember that time when I promised I’d chronicle your milestones in a letter each and every month, so you could look back on them and be embarrassed for the both of us?  Well.   Turns out that with a toddler, one doesn’t have an abundance of time to chronicle or blog or apply deodorant or what have you.  So I present to you this “multi-month newsletter” and hope that you’ll forgive me for slacking and take it with a grain of salt.  Or MULTIPLE grains of salt, like the rim of … Read More »

Newsletter: Months Eighteen and Nineteen | May 31, 2010

Newsletter: Months Eighteen and Nineteen

Dear Hayden:

Mommy is bad at blogging.   I totally missed your 18-month newsletter, partly due to the fact that I HAVE AN 18-MONTH-OLD.   Anyone who owns a toddler knows what I’m talkin’ ’bout, Willis.  So I’m combining your 18th and 19th month letters, as the last couple of months have been a blur, anyway.

Might I start off by saying that you’ve been SUPER helpful these past couple of months?  That sounds totally sarcastic when I read it back, but I’m actually dead serious.  You’re eager to help mommy with tedious chores such as folding laundry (read: hoisting yourself into the laundry … Read More »

Organizing Artwork “Stuff” | March 30, 2010

Organizing Artwork “Stuff”

It seems as though our kids have more crayons, markers, coloring books, and stickers than they can possibly use in one life time.  I thought I would give you a couple of ideas as to how to keep all of their artwork “stuff” organized or at the very least accessible to them without making it a huge burden on you.

I am have been very blessed with a large laundry room.  I keep a three drawer Sterilite from Wal-Mart.  Here is a link as to what I am talking about but mine is not the wide one, I have the narrow … Read More »
