Seeking Pore Perfection? I’ve got the Goods! | September 1, 2010

Seeking Pore Perfection? I’ve got the Goods!

Luckily, if you aren’t naturally waking up to flawless looking skin, much has been accomplished in the advancement of faking it.  Beauty companies know that we want to dumb down the look of our wrinkles and have our pores to appear minimized, and most of don’t want to undergo pricey treatments to get there.  And pain, possible bruising and downtime aren’t in the cards either, for me anyway, so that is all the more reason these products intrigue me. They claim to minimize pores, lessen the look of fine lines and wrinkles and set the stage for foundation, if you … Read More »

Fabulous Boost | December 7, 2009

Fabulous Boost

There are many people nowadays that work from home – whether they’re job is a stay at home parent or business individual. While this gives us wonderful freedom and flexibility in our schedules, it also allows us to be more “comfy” in our attire.

I, myself, am guilty of occasionally wearing sweat pants when working from home. They are so comfortable! The problem is, most people feel they’ve “let themselves go” when wearing them too frequently. But don’t fret! There is a way to get through the winter feeling just as sexy as you did in the summer. It is just a matter of kicking your low-maintenance routine up a few notches.

Many of us suffer from dry skin. You can be sure that once the leaves start to fall from the trees, your skin will turn from … Read More »

Lip “perfection” | November 13, 2009

Lip “perfection”

Lips – they are such an expressive part of our faces. They tell people we’re interacting with how we’re feeling, and can instantly change the “look” of an outfit by the colour we put over them.

When applying makeup for my clients – many women tell me how frustrated they become with lipsticks and lip glosses, as none have the staying power they hope for. Not only this, but all women have different textures and lines in their lips that require different approaches and manners of “finesse” in order to make them look stellar.

I find that many women have textured lips. … Read More »

Beauty Tips for Teens | October 26, 2009

Beauty Tips for Teens

Here are my top 10 beauty tips for Teens (but they are great for adults too!)

Don’t over wash your face. Teens usually have oily/acne prone skin.  A knee-jerk reaction is usually to constantly wash and use toner to “dry up” the problem.  This only makes things worse.  You should wash 3 times a day at the most, and you shouldn’t strip your skin.  This seems counter intuitive, but you cannot dry out the skin and expect acne to go away.  This only makes it worse.

Use moisturizer. Once again, it seems to be the opposite of what you think.  If you … Read More »
