I am always hesitant to try new face products because I don’t want a red face the next day. So first, try a little of the product right below your ear by your jaw line on your face. There are the cleansers, toners and moisturizers to keep my skin clear; the SPF I apply after wards to protect it, and the makeup to enhance my features. Not only this, but, what also comes into contact with my skin is the soap I use in the shower, the shampoos and conditioners, the body lotion I use after wards, perfumes, deodorants, and the list goes on!

When you really think about it – how many products do you use through out the day? The number can be overwhelming.

But how well do we know the products we’re using?

We’re sold by advertising companies for various products that this product will perform this task for us, while another will complete some other remedy we’re looking for. We all are happy to take the information given to us, and make our purchases. But are we hurting ourselves in the process?

Many products out there today, are MUCH more toxic than we realize. The worst part is, most people don’t look into what their using or even think about it!

I’d love to refer you all to a site that will solve those problems for you, Cosmetics Database.  This website, will tell you quickly whether what you’re using is safe or not. When you enter the product title (whether it be a soap, shampoo, makeup, perfume, etc) it will quickly rate on a scale of 1-10 how toxic that product is. Ten would be the worst case scenario and one – the best.

The scary part?

Most products you find in drugstores average around 7 on the toxic scale. Yep. We’re allowing all of that to seep into our temples on a daily basis.

If you want further information on why the products are toxic that you’re searched – this website will give you that information. Looking for what a better option is than what you’re currently using? It will also give you that solution. I love this site!
