Flirtatious Frizz and Embellishments  

To make this look bold yet suitable for everyday wear, Penna suggests playing off a single element, such as a frizzy up-do, hint of color, or eye-catching accessory.

For a more subtle version of Effie’s frizzy do, set your hair in pin curls, then add Shu Uemura Texture Spray. Once the curls form, lightly tease your hair starting from the back of your neck using a bristle brush. To polish it off, apply Shu Uemura’s Sheer Lacquer, and voila, you have a fun and flirty hairstyle for day or night!

No matter what hairstyle or color you have, a flower or bow will add just the right amount of pop. Mix and match different sizes and colors, complimenting your outfit or making it stand out on its own. A natural flower can give off a breezy and beautiful vibe, while a hot pink bow can electrify any style! Use bobby pins to secure the bow or flower above your ear and arrange your hair to hide the pins. This must be done on dry hair. Wet hair causes the chalk to stain your natural pigment. The more coats you use, the brighter the color. So simple, so affordable, and so effective! As an alternative, buy colorful extensions. Clip them across the front of your head and secure them with a headband of your choice.

Side Braid

The side braid, sported by Katniss, is a casual yet stylish play off the classic French braid.  Just follow these three easy steps!

1. As if you’re going for a half-pony, gather the hair just above your ears and begin the regular French braid stitch.
2. As you continue, guide the braid diagonally instead of straight, moving from left to right and collecting strands as you go.
3. Finish off with a regular braid at the nape of your neck.

The Center Part

Begin with wet hair, parting it directly down the middle using a fine-toothed comb. Add texture using a dime-sized portion of L’Oreal Styling Wax to the lower half of your hair.
