Marvelous Magaluf | May 3, 2012

Marvelous Magaluf

Magaluf holidays are amazing because it’s all about fun in the sun.

Magaluf  — a Majorcan resort — and its surrounding towns are filled with bars, clubs, and restaurants. The resort is known for its nightlife, but that’s not all it has.

If water sports are your thing, then there are loads to choose from including water-skiing, jet skiing, sailing, and scuba diving. Also, the Western Water Park is located on the outskirts of Magaluf and is based on theme of the old wild west offering a full variety of water rides, live shows, and diving exhibitions.

Spend a whole day at one … Read More »

Timeless Turkey | May 3, 2012

Timeless Turkey

On a holiday to Turkey, I wouldn’t miss out on any of the history or culture the country has to offer.

This includes Turkey’s most famous landmark, the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. The mosque’s name is because of the blue Iznik tiles decorating its interior. Built in the early 1600s, the mosque still functions as a place of worship, but is a popular destination for tourists.

Another historical must-see is the Archaeological Site of Troy. With its record of 4,000 years of history, this site is a treat for the history buffs or archeologists.

The Whirling Dervishes in Konya attract a lot of … Read More »

Experience NYC | May 2, 2012

Experience NYC

I’m always contemplating hopping on a flight to New York. You can never get enough of the Big Apple.

There are the obvious stops to make: Empire State Building, Central Park, a foray down 5th Avenue for some shopping. Don’t limit yourself to touristy things just because you’re an out-of-towner, but – if you’ve spent a fair amount of time in the city – don’t assume those tourist attractions aren’t worthwhile.

An interesting place to pop in is Film Forum, especially if you’re a film-connoisseur.

Indie features and documentaries as well as foreign cinema will grace the screens there. Familiarize yourself with national … Read More »

Majorca’s Best-kept Secrets | May 2, 2012

Majorca’s Best-kept Secrets

There are some really interesting things you can do on a cheap Majorca holiday.

Visit the Cabrera Marine National Park. It’s only accessible by boat, but it’s worth it. You’ll discover hidden coves, exotic fish, and even dolphins.

The park consists of a small island, which has a dramatic history to say the least. It was a recluse camp for French prisoners during the Napoleonic Wars, a military zone since the 1980s, and is now an agricultural haven for locals.

You will need a license granted by the government to dive there. If you don’t wanr to do that, hiking is another outdoors … Read More »

See it all in Spain | May 1, 2012

See it all in Spain

What I wouldn’t give for a trip to Spain! The gorgeous country has so much to offer — and a lot of it’s free. Can you imagine hiking into the country via the Camino de Santiago?

It’s a pilgrim tradition to hike the route of St James’ Bones to the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela. This famous pilgrimage, dating back more than 1,000 years, begins in the French Pyrenees and continues across to Galicia, in Northern Spain. While that long of a distance might not be what you’re looking for, you can’t deny walking everywhere will cut costs.

Many Spanish museums offer you a … Read More »

Exclusive Interview with Actor Michael Emery

Michael Emery is a young and ambitious up-and-comer in the acting world. He has been in many independent films, as well as had roles in shows like Blue Bloods, Wicked Attraction, All My Children, and One Life to Live. He really is a true “down to earth” guy who just loves what he does. I recently had the opportunity to talk with Michael about his blooming career, his past in football, and what he loves most about acting.

You’ve played college football before acting. Was the transition hard or easier than you thought?

Let me first start out by saying that acting … Read More »
