Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite classics, partly because there seem to be no end to the wonderful art and fashion motifs that comes from Lewis Carroll’s novels. There are so many versions to be inspired by, whether it’s the whimsical style of the original illustrations or the flowing, bohemian styles in the 2010 Tim Burton movie. I chose to center my look around this sky blue dress and its structured ruffles. I paired it with a Salvatorre Ferragamo key necklace (which looks like it could have come out of the rabbit hole itself), black pumps that add a sophisticated twist to Alice’s traditional Mary Janes, classic pearl earrings and a solid black clutch purse to set off the outfit for a look that is Victorian-esque, elegant and fresh.
