Several days before Avril Lavigne’s Abbey Dawn fashion show, there’s been a lot of discussion about it.
For some, it was simply over the fact that Avril Lavigne has her own clothing line. For others, they were more caught up with Kylie Jenner set to walk down the runway and the possible appearance of the Kardashian sisters at the show.
When I arrived at the Metropolitan Pavilion, there were paparazzi waiting everywhere. As I anxiously queued to be seated inside, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries walked in with hundreds of flashes going off behind them. Then shortly after, Kourtney arrived and was rushed into the room. A few minutes later, I walked over to my seat and saw a swamp of photographers surrounding Kim, Kris, Kourtney, and Kendall.
Although the spot light was on the Kardashians, more than the collection itself, the show was thoroughly enjoyable. It had a fun vibe and all the models were very enthusiastic as they walked down the runway. Every time little Kylie came out with a new look, her sisters screamed and cheered her on from the front row. How cute.
Kylie was featured in three different looks, and my favorite one was the black mini-dress with full tulle skirt that was completed with a thin black belt. All the clothes I saw on the runway evidently depicted Avril’s ‘punk-rock’ style and I liked that she stuck to simplicity. But I’m sure Avril is not fretting over her collection… considering the amount of media attention and exposure her clothing line got from today’s show. And besides, she is already on her way to Amsterdam to continue her current European tour.

So Kylie’s big Abbey Dawn debut was a success and she is now officially a Fashion Week model. Next up is Kendall, who will hit the runway for Sherri Hill on Wednesday, Sept 14th. Wow, can we really keep up with the Kardashians?
