As Autumn draws closer fashion turns over a new leaf. Meanwhile, many women move into a completely different wardrobe. September is a month of transformation. Whether it’s back to school, or trees turning different colors, now is the time to embrace change. For myself, I am focusing on wardrobe transformation. I want to embrace a fashion forward lifestyle that still fits the Washington climate and my busy schedule. My goal is to find outfits that can embrace hot or cold weather (layers) and can easily go from day to night.
Thus, I have experimented with transformable items. Here I took a BCX (Facebook) dress two different ways. First is “edgy casual”. Pairing the sequined dress with a black leather jacket and studded ballet flats. Perfect for school, lunch, or a mid-day outing with the girls. In later Autumn, I could easily pair with boots, for a warmer substitute.
AsĀ the night sets in I paired the same BCX dress with a pair of peep-toe heels and a longerĀ jacket. Allowing me to fight against the cold and look suitable for a dinner date.
Easy steps for transformation are utilizing accessories. Accessories can change the whole “mood” of the outfit. Layering is another great tool. Jackets can be used for warmth and a new take on the same outfit. Scarves, can also be used as a shawl. It’s time to experiment. Mix and match the items in your closet to come up with a whole new wardrobe.
