What better way to start your day than with a healthy and delicious tea smoothie. This tropical drink makes a great breakfast to go, fills you with lasting energy and provides you with a ton of antioxidants and slimming power! The catechins in this green tea has been shown to burn fat and the fiber from the banana, strawberries, and lychee also helps with your weight loss program! Lychee fruit is low-calorie fruit that has more Vitamin C than many citrus fruits, as much fiber as an apple and potassium levels comparable to a banana. There’s a reason so many weight-loss plans include a focus on fiber: It keeps you feeling full and helps release hunger-satisfying chemicals in the brain. (It’s also a proven cancer- and heart disease-risk reducer!)
INGREDIENTS:
1 banana, frozen
1 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen
1 cup of lychee fruit
1/2 cup ONO Geisha Green tea – chilled
1/2 cup of your choice of milk (almond, soy, hemp, coconut)
1/2 cup of nonfat plain yogurt
2 teaspoons of flax seed powder
PREPARATION:
1. Use 1 tsp of ONO Geisha Green tea per 1/2 cup of steaming hot water. Let it steep for 5 minutes. Remove the filter. Chill the tea.
2. In a blender, process all the ingredients including the chilled tea until thoroughly mixed and serve.
