I’m starting my morning with a cup of ONO Caramel Slender Latte. Did you know Puerh tea is widely used in Asia as an after-meal beverage due to its famed ability to break fat, lower bad cholesterol and blood pressure levels, and thus contribute to smooth digestion? Here is my delicious recipe. ENJOY!
INGREDIENTS:
* 1/4 cup of your choice of milk – I used vanilla soymilk
* 1 cup strongly brewed ONO Caramel Slender or Caramel Slim (I recommend 2 tsp per 8 oz cup and brew for 15 minutes)
* sweeten to taste (I used maple syrup)
* 1/2 tsp cinnamon
DIRECTIONS:
1. Put 2 tsp of ONO Caramel Slender in your ONO Modern Mug infuser, add a cup of hot water and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
2. In an ONO Jumbo cup (shown in image), heat up the milk and maple syrup in the microwave. I warm it up for 40 seconds.
2. Pour the brewed Caramel Slender into your ONO Jumbo Cup and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Lower Your Cholesterol and Blood Pressure with ONO Caramel Slender and Kick the Coffee Pu-erh teas! ☀ ONO Caramel Slender & Kick the Coffee, Pu-erh teas, are widely used as an after-meal beverage due to its famed ability to break fat, lower bad cholesterol and blood pressure levels, and thus contribute to smooth digestion. ☀ The Chinese believe that Pu-erh has even greater health properties than other teas. From a Chinese Medical point of view, Pu-erh invigorates the Spleen, disinhibits dampness, clears Stomach heat, descends Stomach qi and counteracts alcohol toxins. Pu-erh’s ability to aid fat metabolism has lead to claims that it can assist in weight loss regimes. ☀ Antioxidants called flavonoids, found in pu-erh, are considered to be responsible for the reduction in blood pressure, hardening of the arteries and the amount of LDL or ‘bad’ cholesterol in the blood stream found in tea drinkers (Preventive Medicine 2002;36:64-70).
