SA VA is an ethical clothing and accessories brand that is built on the platform of effortless, individual style and social consciousness. Based in Philadelphia, the brand is comprised of a flagship store and design studio at 1700 Sansom Street, adjacent garment center and an on-line fashion community and store.
SA VA is locally made, globally inspired and community based fashion. They believe it is their responsibility to be socially responsible. Ninety percent of the garments sold at SA VA are made in our adjacent garment center always with fair-trade and often eco friendly materials. Any products we are unable to make themselves must have one element of sustainability, whether it is fair-trade, locally made, organic, made in the U.S.A. or recycled. Through local living wage job creation and community partnerships with both the Career Wardrobe and the People’s Emergency Center they are striving to create a new kind of fashion community.

I am a fashion designer, an entrepreneur and above all an artist. SA VA is one of three sustainable apparel brands that comprise our company, but all of them are sustainable and made in Philadelphia. I love textiles and creating wearable fashion but love, equally as much, the idea of creating a new kind of clothing company that can leave minimal impact on the environment and do good stuff in our community.
I am inspired by connection – Connection to people, the connection you feel to art, movement, life. Our summer collection, debuting at our show on May 11th, is specifically inspired by the dichotomy we find in our lives with the yearning to be submersed in nature but being tied to living in a City and how to connect to it all.

SA VA is a women’s lifestyle apparel brand. We really try to create a wide range of flattering pieces that fit in to the wardrobes of many different women. You will find everything from gorgeous tailored blazers with leather trim to silk hand dyed shifts to our own US grown organic cotton denim jean line where we didn’t sacrifice the fit or the price to get it local made and organic! Our key focus, beyond making affordable, fashion forward apparel is our commitment to sustainability through local living wage job creation here in the US, fair-trade and sustainable textiles and creating community partnerships to help women.
