After taking a trip to London recently, I had a new appreciation for men’s style. So well dressed and sophisticated, but with a touch of stylish undertones. Bespoke clothing, a British term has made its way overseas to the fashion capital New York, giving men a new higher degree of customization to their clothing. Michael Andrews Bespoke, an appointment-only men’s shop in NYC, does just that. He outfits young professionals with exquisite tailor-made suits, shirts, blazers, slacks, tuxedos, overcoats and more. http://www.michaelandrewsbespoke.com/
Each piece of Michael Andrews Bespoke clothing is custom made and personalized to a client’s fashion needs and lifestyle. Before a garment is made, Andrews takes up to three dozen measurements and a unique pattern is cut to the client’s exact dimensions. While garments can be ordered in virtually any style, the shop is best known for its contemporary, slim fit suits featuring designer detailing like vibrant colored linings, contrast stitching, working sleeve buttonholes and labels embroidered with a client’s own name. Guys, you now have no excuses for looking style-less.
The gorgeous 4,200 square foot design studio is located in a former art gallery with dramatic 20-foot ceilings. It is an eclectic mix of traditional English and neo-modern American styles, my favorite decor. Drawing on bespoke traditions, the space is outfitted with vintage chairs covered in genuine suiting fabrics, custom marble-topped tables and museum quality lighting and features an ornate 12-foot oak bar and a flat-screen TV so clients never have to miss a big game. Ladies, you know where I will be taking my husband as soon as this marvelous shop opens this September!
