Scarves can really add a little spice to any outfit. I interviewed Sabina Les to learn about her company/blog and her ideas on how to make a scarf work for you!

Tell me more about your blog Fashionably Tied?

My blog “Fashionably Tied” is about giving the readers endless possibilities of style ideas, fashion and shopping events coverage, information on selected fashion and consumer goods products. I prefer to work with independent designers and companies from all over the world.

Do you feel that scarves are an overlooked accessory? Absolutely! A great silk printed scarf is one of the very few fashion items that you can wear from season to season regardless of your body shape and age. A scarf is a versatile item that can transform a day look into a night look while you wearing the same outfit. It’s a definite must-have for a woman on the go. Again, let me stress how important is to have a good quality silk scarf that can instantly add style and class to your outfit.

A lot of people believe that scarves are strictly a winter/fall accessory, do you agree? Traditionally, when you say a scarf people associated it with cold weather. In reality a scarf can be made out of various fabrications ranging from very thin silks to heavy wools. Personally, I prefer high quality silks because it is a natural eco-friendly fiber and keeps you warm when it’s cold and cool in the warmer seasons. Also, it’s a fabrication that feels sensual against the skin and doesn’t cause irritation.

Can you name three brands of scarves that are ideal for the spring and summer months? The only brand that I’m comfortable with suggesting here is my own without feeling like I’m promoting my competition.

You offer a scarf style guide on your website, do you find that women are not utilizing the versatility of their scarves?

Most women don’t wear scarves simply because they do not know how. I’m trying to offer various ways of wearing one scarf. I constantly update my style guides with step-by-step directions for more scarf wearing options.

What types of scarves are perfect for men?

Men usually look better in oblong shaped scarves. I can’t wait to come up with men’s scarf options.

Besides fashion styling what are some of your other talents?

I enjoy coming up with new design ideas, photography and writing.

What future plans do you have for yourself and your company?

Current plan is to expand into a must-have printed scarf brand. Then expanding into bags and men’s accessories.
