One of my favorite nail polish brands, Essie, has just released its 2010 Resort Collection with some of the most delicious, and summer-inspiring colors I’ve seen in a while. All hues are the equivalent of taking a cruise through the Caribbean. Who needs to go on vacation when your nails look like exotic jewels from tropical islands (well, I still do, but it’s a good stepping stone!)?
By far, my favorites are Turqouise & Caicos (a fantastic shade much like Tiffany blue) and Playa Del Platinum (which sort of looks like concrete, but somehow manages to come off super chic and neutral). Lapis of Luxury – a calming oceanic blue – brings to mind visions of a hammock, a cold umbrella-accessorized drink and white, breezy linen, while Splash of Grenadine – a fun, magenta pink – makes me think of lounging by the pool with all my girlfriends, reading gossip magazines and soaking up rays.
