Start with this huge tip when you find a pair you love buy 2!

Wear the shoes you are most likely to wear with jeans so you know how they will look with them

Sit, stand, bend over, make sure they fit and feel good with every movement.

Look for a tighter finer weave is usually for higher-priced denim and more delicate looking yet still sturdy enough.

I look for darker washes they look better on most body frames, unless you are truly up on trends and want try chic new styles.

Chose the right sihloette for your shape.

Look for some stretch.

Baggy jeans can make you look larger than you really are.

Tapered jeans magnify the difference between the upper and lower leg, making thighs seem bigger

High-waisted jeans highlight the space between the waist and hips, making both seem wider

Long jeans, with cuffs over your shoe, make your legs appear longer

To accentuate a rounded behind, stretch jeans will cover your curves nicely

If your backside is flat,  stretch jeans make it flatter, so stick with regular denim (or buy stretch jeans in a larger size.

Pay attention to pockets where they lay changes the whole look of your shape

High little pockets in the back make a behind look bigger so choose centered, larger pockets.

In general, back pockets look better, but if you buy a pair with no pockets, choose a style with a yoke on the back, which will bring the eyes to the center.

Front pockets should be on the shallow side, because extra fabric adds bulk.

And then there are pockets cut and built to actually lift the butt.

I have to say it some time paying a little bit more makes all the difference.  Although I have found great pairs at the gap, my favorites are Joe’s jean and Hudson. Arden B , Gap, Lucky brand, Urban Outfittter’s sells old school Levi’s that seem to be making their way back on the scene all have denim for under $100 and have styles for all body shapes.
