Ruta Fox created the FIRST and ONLY diamond ring designed especially for single women. The Ah Ring stands for A, available and happy. It’s the diamond ring you buy for yourself when you’re single. You wear it on your pinkie (either pinkie) and it can be stacked as well. The price is $350.00 (which includes shipping). It’s exclusively available at www.divinediamonds.com. The Ah Ring is 14 karat white gold. It has eleven full cut diamonds. (It totals about 1/4 of a carat worth of diamonds. )
CG: Ruta, Please tell us all about your ring!
RF: I hit on the idea of The Ah Ring because I started selling some diamond pinkie rings to a few friends, after seeing the huge one that Oprah wears. After a few friends loved the ring, I figured out we were all available and happy single women, hence the name! I started out by going all over New York city selling rings to about 10 friends in their offices.
My friend, a psychic in Los Angeles, named Beatrice Marot, had a friend Michele, who had just gotten a job at O, The Oprah Magazine. I went over to the magazine to show Michele my The Ah Ring, and she had been looking at rings costing five times a much at fancy Fifth Avenue jewelers! I took a press kit and ending up selling all the girls in the office Ah Rings.
The next day my phone rang and a lady said we sent your stuff off to Oprah overnight, and she wants it for the O List!!!! I had six weeks to go from being unemployed on my couch, to starting a business that would be ready for Oprah’s numerous customers….Wow, that was intense. I had been a freelance writer, so I had the marketing, branding, and PR skills pretty much in place, but I had no financial background. I ran out of money after a few weeks, and had to ask my mother for a huge loan! I had many crazy ups and down with the business, many challenges, but they always worked out. It was a lot of hard work, tears, frustration and happiness, all mixed up together. I did $1million dollars in sales the first year, all by myself, in my small apartment, in a business I had no background in!
I have been featured in O, The Oprah magazine, Oprah.com, Harper’s Bazaar, In Style, Lucky, The Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, Entrepreneur, and numerous other publications, and I have done many radio shows as well. I also appeared on CNBC’s The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch.
My favorite thing about The Ah Ring is the wonderful stories, letters, emails and feedback I have gotten from women telling me how much their ring means to them. It’s for joyful, confident women to celebrate the fact that they are single, (or Attached and happy, if you are attached.)

Ruta is a savvy business woman and entrepreneur, a great friend and a hot mama . . . and I predict she won’t be available and happy much longer. Time to put a ring on that other finger girl!! Love ya, Beatrice
