This gently exfoliating Jasmine-Vanilla scrub revitalizes your entire body. Rich in natural green tea antioxidants plus delicious brown sugar and vanilla, it removes dullness and purifies the body while reinvigorating the flow of healthy energy to restore the four perfect principles of the Tea Ceremony – “Wa (harmony), kei (respect), sei (purity), jaku (tranquility)”.
INGREDIENTS:
ONO Queen Jasmine Pearls
2 cups of brown sugar
1/4 cup avocado oil
1/2 cup of brewed ONO Queen Jasmine tea leaves
1. Brew 6 tsp of tea in your ONO 5 cup teapot
2. Reserve the tea to drink and use the brewed tea leaves for the scrub
Approx 8 drops Vanilla essential oil
Honey for smoothing the texture
DIRECTIONS:
1. Mix your carrier oil into the sugar slowly, stirring to keep the consistency smooth, and stop when you can form the mixture into a slightly wet ball without it dripping through your fingers.
- Many people can use a wide range of oils on their body skin. But if you are making a scrub for your face or if your (body) skin is extremely sensitive, you may want to use carrier oils for a specific skin type.
- Dry: Olive (some people with normal skin love this), avocado (very thick and rich; you may want to combine this with a lighter oil), rosehip seed (a bit expensive, combine with other oils).
- Normal: almond (also a good light oil for dry skin), apricot (same as almond), macadamia nut (also great for mature, drying skin)
- Oily: grapeseed (well absorbed into the skin), hazelnut (astringent), and jojoba
2. Add the brewed ONO Queen Jasmine tea leaves
3. Add the vanilla essential oil and mix thoroughly to incorporate the mixture evenly.
An important tip: Because this homemade treatment does not contain preservatives like its store-bought counterparts do, you will want to make it fresh before each use.
